Hospitalian Administered Name: Jonathan David Tirrell Alias: Josh Slender Age: 18 Place of birth: Icky Trenton, NJ Current Residence: My artistic specimen of a bedroom, which currently is docked in Geigertown, PA |
Bike’s: KHS Soft Tail (Now a frame, for sale on eBay), SantaCruz Chameleon <3 Years biking: probably around 8. I got my first mountain bike when I was about 9 or 10, but traded it on a 97 Diamondback Sorrento SE…man that thing was hot =D First bike: Oh my…I don’t remember. I had a wicked little chrome 16” (wheel) bmx…but my first mountain-ish bike was a Huffy Mud Slinger my dad bought me for my like 7th birthday or something. It was cool, it had fenders! Favorite trail: The one I named French Creek North Shore, and/or the Pagoda Jump Trail. Magazines you Subscribe to: BIKE, JP and 4wd and SUV. Gnarliest thing you’ve ever done on a bike: Destroyed my face, giving me 50 stitches and a nice painful recovery Dream place to ride: Have to go with BC…all 3 of us will go there some day..hehe Favorite conditions to ride in: A nice warm rain is nice, a little thunder in there and it makes ya ride a little faster. But for staying clean I love a nice fall afternoon when its like 60 degrees and there’s a nice sunset on the way. Favorite pastimes (besides biking): Filming! Editing with mark till 4 AM, boarding, working out, talking to or spending time with Di if I am blessed enough to have that opportunity. She’s an incredible girl by the way. ;-) Favorite Movie: The Usual Suspects. I know it has a lot of raunchy language, but it is really well done. Also on my list are Conspiracy Theory and Bandits. Future goals: Acceptance into a good university for video production and do the “something big” God told me I am going to do with it! Continue to get more involved in youth ministry, and marry a wicked cool chick who digs my passion for video, God and youth! If I could be sponsored by any company it would be: Santa Cruz, and if Sony and Mac wanted to get involved and hand me a nice cam and a G5 that’d be rad. Bands that make you want to hit the trails: Yellowcard, Kids in the Way, Revis, Big Wreck, Brand New, Thursday, Mae, The Working Title Last show you went to: Copeland, Mae, The Working Title and Slow Coming Day. It was a rawkin show! Who would you like to thank: My Jeep, for always being there for me. No, seriously. God. I know every Christian band always says “God” in their credits and it sounds so fake, but I am for serious here. God has blessed me from all sides. He’s covered me in His love so much I don’t have any room to complain about anything. And I trust that if I remain faithful to Him, He will continue to bless me in my endeavors in film production. I also gotta thank Nate and Mark. Without nate’s riding, there would be nothing worth filming. He inspires us to push harder. Mark is just a great guy to be with and I couldn’t have a better friend and person to work with on this whole Wet Paint venture. I gotta thank Di too, she’s taught me so much and God has taught me so much thru her. God knows what’s ahead, but I can trust that I have a solid friend in her forever. Thanks guys Famous Last words: Oh,
I don’t know. I just want to share something I’ve learned
lately. When you struggle with something you know is wrong, there’s
one way to conquer it. First realize that there is an enemy at work in
the world. There is and evil, and that is Satan, and he wants to prevail.
When he makes an attempt, you have the power to make it a futile one.
Address him directly, tell him NO, and he will flee from you. |
